Roku's Temple

This was my first attempt at anything involving interior architecture, and it was very difficult and HEAVILY referenced.. also much less polished than some others in the series.  Oh well- it is a massive learning process.

Inspired by the Fire Temple in "Avatar Roku: Winter Solstice, Part 2" of Avatar the Last Airbender.  I tried for a hybrid of Eastern and Western architecture styles, to mirror the way the temple and its sages became warped and influenced by the politics of the Fire Lord.  It reminds me of churches built under one religion and changing hands, back and forth, with whoever occupies the land.

Hope you like it and it isn't too dark! First big drawing done with my new tablet too.  eek.
